If you would like to redact information on a document, such as removing any specific areas, text, images, or any underlying contents, PDFTron’s WebViewer can achieve this and apply a “true redaction”, where sensitive content can be irreversibly and permanently removed. This is different from simply covering up or obscuring content, as “true redaction” prevents future access to the content underneath the annotation.
PDFTron’s WebViewer uses PDFTron’s proprietary rendering engine, without reliance on open-source technologies and allows for more advanced capabilities like redacting specific regions of a document directly in a browser.
